PANTANO – MARINE OFFICER – OVERTAKES INCUMBENT DEM MIKE MCINTYRE
More great news for you, our MAFPAC supporters today, as we have learned that a second candidate we have been supporting is now surging ahead. Just yesterday we were pleased to inform you that MAFPAC’s candidate in Virginia, Scott Rigell, had moved ahead of his opponent Glenn Nye and was upgraded from Tossup to Lean Republican by pollsters at Rasmussen Reports. It was very encouraging to see your support marking a difference in Virginia!
Today we have more great news – Ilario Pantano of North Carolina, another one of MAF’s “KEY RACES”, has just overtaken his opponent Mike McIntyre in the most recently released poll!
Pantano is a USMC officer who led his marines into the most intense fighting of the first Battle of Fallujah in 2004. But back on September 14th, the liberal incumbent Mike McIntyre boasted a 45% -39% lead over Pantano (Public Opinion Strategies Poll 4% Margin of Error).
Just days later (Sept 17) MAFPAC officially endorsed Pantano for Congress and brought in Debbie Lee and Ben Smith to campaign for him as well as hit the local radio waves in some Friday morning interviews with several local talk stations. Just recently, we’ve seen a HUGE improvement in Pantano’s poll numbers!
“A new poll of the 7th from SurveyUSA seems to confirm this suspicion. The poll of 450 registered voters finds that Ilario Pantano leads McIntyre by a point, 46 percent to 45 percent. Among those who state that they are absolutely certain to vote, Pantano leads by a 57 percent to 38 percent margin.” –Real Clear Politics 9/29/2010
Thanks to your efforts and donations we were able to send Debbie Lee and Ben Smith to help out in North Carolina. They brought the message that pro-troop advocates and military families support this Marine for congress and it has paid off big time!
Unfortunately we are still weeks away from Election Day, and a 1% lead can disappear! That’s why we have to keep the pressure on!
Keep the donations coming so we can continue to support Ilario Pantano and help him pull away! If we raise enough, we get back on the radio again and help increase this Marine’s lead! Support Pantano for Congress!
